This Week in Gaming #7

The week of Halloween is finally upon us and it’s fair to say there is a scarily low amount of games released this week. If you can manage to pull yourself away from Stranger Things Season 2 then there is still some frighteningly hot news that you might have missed from the world of Video Gaming.

Don’t worry though because here at Beepwee, we’ve got you covered as always. Grab your trick or treat candy and take off that mask as we take another look at this week’s gaming news.

The New Way To Gift Games on Steam

Right in time for the most generous part of the year, Steam has revealed the new way to gift games, with digital gift cards. You have all probably seen the physical gift cards in your local game store, which is basically what this is.

The new digital gift cards simply allow you to send funds to friends. They can then use those fund to buy anything they want. This is great news for any of you feeling rather generous out there.

There is some small print that comes with this latest change, however. Any person you send money too must have been your friend for at least three days on Steam. A fair request, I think you’ll agree.

Hellboy coming to Injustice 2

Another fighter has been announced to join the impressive ranks on the Injustice 2 stage. A recent gameplay trailer showed off Hellboy and his abilities, which is scheduled for release on November 21st.

For any of you smart enough to have purchased the digital deluxe of collector’s edition, Hellboy will be free for you to play with come November 21st. The trailer released by Warner Bros showcased some of Hellboy’s abilities and gave us a flavor of how he might fight.

In the spirit of all things Halloween, why not check out the trailer and watch this demon anti-hero sling his guns and punch his way through some of the existing rosters of characters in Injustice 2.

Injustice 2 is finally coming to PC

I just have to vent here. The games player base seems mostly dead and then they finally bring it to PC? Way to go Warner Bros! - Ed

In other Injustice 2 news and something that personally delights me, we finally have word on an Injustice 2 PC release. I have been waiting for this day since it first played the game and although I already own this on PS4, you know I’ll be buying on PC when it releases.

Warner Bros have announced that a Steam version of the hit superhero fighting game will be released during this fall. As of yet, we have no concrete release date, but I’m praying for an early Christmas present.

Injustice 2 is already out for Xbox & PS4 and has gained great reviews so it seems only natural that it would follow Injustice Gods Amongst Us footstep and be released on PC eventually.

If you never got around to playing this game, then your perfect opportunity looks like it’s just around the corner.

Steam Halloween Sale is here

Calling all bargain hunters, your favorite time of the year has arrived once again. The Steam Halloween Sale is officially live and boy does it have some great offers.

As one would expect, there is a particular focus on all this spooky this time of year, and the games valve are offering on the cheap are no exception. The list of horror games on offer is rather impressive and that includes some VR games.

What better time of year to save some money, whilst playing the game you missed out on a release. Visit the Steam store today and take your pick of hundreds of offers. The sale will one on November 1st at 10 am PT.

Breath of the Wild DLC still coming this year

The second DLC pack for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still coming in 2017. The DLC titled The Champions Ballad was confirmed earlier in the year, and since then, things have gone a little quiet, leading to speculation that the DLC might be pushed back.

On November 10th the Breath of the Wild Champions Amiibo will be released and most assumed that this will coincide with the release of the Breath of the Wild DLC. Sadly, this is not to be the case as Nintendo America spokesman Reggie Fils-Aimé stated: “We will shortly be announcing the date for that content, so I would not lock and load on November 10th.”

That seems telling enough that we won’t be getting the DLC within the next two weeks. Fans of the series will have to wait that little bit longer it seems, but I’m sure it will have been worth it.
