Final Fantasy is a month away from finally landing on PC in all its glory. PC version of the game is patched up, loaded with additional content and it features improved graphics. Square Enix promised that a benchmark app for the game would arrive at the beginning of February and they delivered.

The app weighs in at almost 4gb and once you download and install it all you have to do is pick a desirable resolution and level of detail and just run it. The benchmark is more than 6 minutes long and it plays a couple of different scenes including a scenic ride along with a short fight scene. The score meter fills while scenes pass and in the end, you get a score along with one out of eight grades.

All you need to know is that, if you want to play the game on desired settings, your PC has to score over 3000 points and to receive a Standard or higher grade. Square Enix made an excellent move allowing all gamers who want to play the game to check out if it can run on their PCs, also giving them more than a month to upgrade in case their computer fails to meet the requirements and gets a score of 2000 or lower. You can download the benchmark tool here, and you can check out performance scores for a bunch of graphics cards in different resolutions and quality presets here. Final Fantasy lands on PC on March 6 for $50.
